REVIEW: Up In Smoke

Up In Smoke by TM Frazier

By: T.M Frazier

This is book 8 in the King series with interlocking characters, and can be read as a standalone

 I’m a man without a conscience.

I deal in murder and mayhem.

I’m the best at what I do.

Frankie Helburn is supposed to be an easy job.

A means to flush her father out of hiding.

Except there isn’t anything simple about Frankie or the secrets she’s keeping.

She’s stubborn as hell and the sexiest god damn thing I have ever seen, sending dark, dirty animalistic desire coursing through my veins.

She’s cocaine with legs. A f*cking addiction that makes me question things I’ve never questioned before. Want things I’ve never wanted before.

I might have her, but she isn’t mine to keep.

If her father doesn’t show his face, she will be mine.

Smoke is a calculated man, a skilled killer, best in the business and he doesn’t think that he needs anyone. He takes  jobs and easily moves on to the next. But when someone takes something that he holds dear the next job is one the suppose to be easy in and out to get what he needs.

Frankie Helburn hasn’t had the easiest life. All she wants is to stay invisible, stay under the radar until she is done. Then Smoke finds her and all hell breaks loose.

Both have secrets. Both do the unthinkable. But in the end will they survive each other?

Aracely’s Review

T.M Frazier has blown me away yet again. We have seen Smoke throughout the King series and have seen glimpse of the ruthless killer. He is a nomad, has no loyalty to anyone or anything because he thinks that will bring him down. The one time he let someone in it got shot to hell. Even though Rage doesn’t blame him for what happen he still feels guilty.

Frankie is a girl who was thrown aside by a father who only cared about his work. She has been on her own keeping her head down because of her father. Then Smoke goes out to finds Frankie in order to get to her father.

When Smoke and Frankie come together it’s like nothing else. Both broken, both alone, both damaged. Yet somehow they work. They find love within the darkness.

Now if only they can survive the secrets that could keep them apart.
