REVIEW: His Young Queen

His Young Queen by Tiff P. Raine

By Tiff P. Raine

This is the first book in the Steel Jackals MC series.

Tish O’Malley grew up way too fast, thanks to her drug addict mother. At the age of six she stayed home from school to nurse her mother through a bad high. Taking responsibility for feeding, cleaning and clothing the both of them. She didn’t even know she had an uncle until she was 10. When her Uncle Nick sent Josh to look after her, things started to look up in her life. Tish finally had someone to look after her.

To Tish, age was just a number. She’d grown up so long ago she didn’t even know when she ceased being a child. At five, seven, at age nine when her mom had OD’d?

Josh Sylvan is a badass biker they call the Guardian, because he always takes care of those in his inner circle, including a young Tish and her strung out mother. When he takes the fall for something he didn’t do he is sentenced to five years away from a devastated Tish.

He was just the same but appeared...grim. As if he hadn’t smiled in ages. His normally warm gold eyes were now dull, his tattooed skin paler than she’d ever seen it. He still wore his dirty blonde hair in a faux-hawk that was tousled and long enough to flop on his forehead. So damn sexy, he was well over six feet and solid as stone.

After three years Josh returns home to find everything is different. So much time has past. Tish is grown now. Josh and Tish can’t go back to the way they were before. They struggle to reconnect and consider something more growing between them.

Buyer beware: this books is so hot! If there is a possibility that your sensibilities could be offended, this is not the book for you. On the other hand, if you are ready for something downright provocative this is the book for you.

There is no doubt about it, this book is about sex and several other color euphemisms. Beyond that Raine has managed to include a considerable amount of emotion into her story. After everything Tish has gone through, you can’t help but hope something good happens to her. Who doesn’t love a tortured hero on a Harley?

If you are not sensitive to sexually explicit material, this is a great read that will definitely keep you up after dark.
