REVIEW: He Wants Me

He Wants Me by Julia Swift

By Julia Swift

This is a collection of the first four books in the He Wants Me series.

Megan Clark is a recent college graduate and as a means to make money for graduate school, she has taken a job as personal assistant to Harley Royce, a biotech billionaire. Working for Royce pays well, but it’s a thankless and sometimes demanding job. That’s doesn’t mean that Megan wants him dead.

So, I’m probably the last person in the world that you’d picture drinking here at Murphy’s Law, and probably the first person you’d picture browsing at the stationary storm next door. That’s me-Megan Clark. Old enough to drink, but far more likely to take pleasure in fine paper products than Long Islands.

Landon Blake is suave, sexy and undoubtedly has money. He gains Megan's interest in a bar after getting her a drink and fending off drunken pests. He sends her drunk friend home with his driver and take Megan for a ride. His demeanor is irresistible. He is confidant in his advances because he’s done this before, many times.  Unfortunately, their plans are foiled by called from Megan boss.

He is so incredibly sexy in his confident ease. I would shay he isn’t aware of it, but who am I kidding? He knows exactly how hot, how irresistible he is. He just got perfectly reasonable, rational woman to get into his car after hardly even having a conversation.

How can this dalliance unfold when Megan finds Landon standing over the body of her dead boss? Now, Megan finds herself a person of interest in a murder investigation. The over aggressive District Attorney is really putting on the pressure. If that’s not bad enough she’s unemployed, but still caring for the worst cat ever.

He Wants Me is a murder mystery and I am so happy that I was able to read the first four books right away. If I had been drip fed this story I would have gone out of my mind. Swift’s writing is so engrossing, I couldn’t put the books down. I had to keep going, I had to find out what was going to happen next. This book definitely kept me up past my bedtime!
