By Sam JD Hunt
This is a standalone short story.
Caleb Drake is going down.
Which is why he's going down.
Caleb Drake is a guy's guy--beer on Friday, football on Sunday, he couldn't be more secure in his sexuality. But he is dealing with the aftermath of an expensive divorce, and his shaky judgment has caused him to lose his lucrative career as a personal injury attorney. Facing disbarment, and costly legal fees, he considers an unthinkable solution offered by an unlikely advisor: his soon-to-be ex-wife.
John Butters is in town, trolling Las Vegas for gay-for-pay performers for his hit direct-to-internet porn series, Butter Me Up. In the back of his van or in a hotel room, Butters films everyday straight guys who are willing to go there for cash.
Butter's newest find, the ridiculously endowed Caleb, is a sure hit. With more and more cash on the line, Caleb goes further and further until a blast from his past turns his universe upside down--his former college roommate Derek Johnson.
A bisexual romp of an erotic romantic comedy, Gay for Pay will leave you asking, "What the hell did I just read?"
Caleb Drake is a hot-shot lawyer in Las Vegas, NV. Well, he was a hotshot lawyer, now he is waiting for the hearing to find out if he is going to be disbarred. His soon-to-be ex-wife is engaged to marry some old man judge. And, if that’s not enough, the bills are piling up.
Caleb’s life has stalled and out, and during his epic pity party he decides to use his best assets to get him through and he tries his hand at internet porn. One thing leads to another, and the next thing he knows he’s being recruiting by John Butters, producer of gay-for-pay porn. Just when he starts to pull his head above water Derek Johnson his former college roommate comes back into town and threatens to change everything.
This book has all the makings of awesome quickie; it’s hilarious, it’s sexy, it’s a little graphic. But, it’s also sweet and hopeful.
What you might not expect from a book titled Gay for Pay, is just how sweet Caleb is. He helps look after his neighbor Barbara, who has recently left her cheating husband. He works pro-bono cases for a battered woman’s shelter. He can’t say no to anyone that needs help. For all his faults he is really a good guy a heart and looking for his happily ever after.
This was the first bi-sexual story I’ve ever read. Bi-sexuality makes for an interesting dynamic and spice, so there is something for everyone.
Why did we choose this book:
When I came across Gay for Pay in my Facebook news feed, I immediately did a one-click. The title alone was enough to interest me. Then one Saturday night I was on Facebook (I know, I know, I need a life) and David Michael was talking about the book. So, I propositioned him to do a buddy read, and had about an hour of laughing out loud and really hot sex scenes. And, OMG...Sam JD Hunt herself joined in ☺️.
Read David's Amazon review. For the record I agree with everything he said.
You should read this book if:
If you’re looking for a hot and funny quickie this is just the thing for what ales ya.
If you’re uncomfortable with anything besides heterosexuals and the missionary position, this is not the book for you.
About the Author:
Sam JD Hunt resides in Las Vegas with her husband, the inspiration for the young Thomas Hunt character, as well as her two children. Her debut trilogy, The Thomas Hunt Series, put a fun and unique spin on the popular BDSM genre. She followed up with the highly successful DEEP: A Captive Tale--a dark BDSM erotic captor/captive story about a pirate and his lady that spans time and space. Her fourth novel, the full-length standalone The Hunt for Eros is an erotic art adventure that combines spicy romance with a cultural adventure based on historic events. It has been described as being like The Da Vinci Code, but with lots of heat added.
Hunt's next release was co-written with her husband. Dagger: American Fighter Pilot is a steamy contemporary romance, which follows a squadron of fighter pilots as part of the American Fighter Pilot read-in-any-order series. Following the release of Dagger, Hunt released the much-anticipated bisexual/menage erotic romance, Taken by Two and then its sequel, Torn from Two. Hunt then released Deeper: Capture of the Virgin Bride as a follow-up to DEEP. Her first paranormal romance, the critically acclaimed Santino the Eternal, is the first book of the Eternal Series about vampires who live in Las Vegas. In 2017, she plans to release her second paranormal romance, Nicco the Eternal, as well as a male/male romantic comedy, Gay 4 Pay.
When not writing, Hunt enjoys travel, community involvement, spending time with friends and family, and hiking. She spends her days writing and trying to answer the age-old question: is it too late for coffee or too early for wine?
