This is the first book in the Badass In My Bed series.
A guy sitting at a faraway booth by himself catches my eye. His head hangs low so all I see is shaggy dark hair and a tight t-shirt showing off the tattoos all over his massive biceps.
Dylan is the muscular and tattooed stranger across the bar. His presence is noticed by everyone, men and women. He is strong and sexy and definitely not the type of man a good girl should be lusting after.
I don’t regret my dedication to my craft. Landing a spot with the Boston Symphony is a dream come true, but I can’t help feeling like there’s something missing in my life. Something I should have done that I didn’t. If there’d been more time…
Rachel is a classically trained cellist that has recently accepted a contract with the Boston Symphony. She is posed and polished and has finally made her father proud. With encouragement from her bestie Alex, Rachel decides a night of passion with a stranger is the right sort of festivities and celebration she needs before she heads into the strict life of the symphony.
‘Pretty soon, I’m the one who’s going to be giving the orders...Don’t worry so much, Rachel. I might not be nice, but you’re going to like it. I promise.’
Even from across the room Dylan and Rachel have an electric chemistry. Perhaps that’s because opposites attract. They spend a night of unexpected passion together, exploring a total stranger. This first person narrative, told from Rachel’s point of view is about stepping out of your comfort zone, trying new things and learning about yourself. I loved the way Dylan takes control but also encourages Rachel explore.
This book was a great read and definitely kept me up past my bedtime. It’s fast paced and left me breathless. I devoured it in one sitting, and it left me hungry for book two.
